Should Mobile Scooters Be Expensive?

Mobile scooters are not expensive as you think. If your ins plan covers even part of the cost of a mobile scooter, the savings can drastically reduce the price you pay.

First, you must meet Medicare standards:

* You have a condition that makes it necessary to use a wheelchair to get from room to room in your home
* You are unable to operate a manual wheelchair
* You can safely get in and out of a scooter

A doctor provides a statement that 3 of those rules apply to you, you should quality for Medicare coverage of your mobile scooter. They will pay 80% of the purchase price after your deductible of $124 (per 2006) has been subtracted. Be cautious of a company that offers to waive your deductible, as there are several scammers out there. Do your homework first and find a reputable company to help you obtain your mobile scooter at little to know cost.
